Hi guys i've just read through the blogs posted this week and it looks like we have all found the same book by Odell and uit looks like we have loads of information on facts surrounding the murrders. so i did some digging and found a website that studies Jack the ripper in a series of articles each focusing on different aspects of the case such as his identity, the police investigation, suspects, comparrisons to other killers etc. i've posted the link below.
When it comes to ripperology it seems to me that it is merely the continuos study of Jack the ripper by racking over the same facts trying to understand the motive and attemping to pin point who the murderer was.
I must admit im quite facinated with the reason as to why he is still around, why we are still as a society still Intrigued by him or her. I mean i camn understand why the victorian people were so facinated because prior to Jack the Ripper the was no killer like him, he was unique but in todays society we have had dozens of seriel killers so why is Jack the ripper, more than anty other, so famous and studied.
It appears to me that that jack the ripper is more famous for his lack of identity than his actual crimes but why?
