After how well yesterdays lecturer went, i was on a right buzz as to research the details about the actual victims in order to come up with some great questions for our game. Here are some facts i found::

- Mary Ann Nicholls was born August 26, 1845.
- When she had died, her father commented on how she was nearly 44 years old but indeed she only looked about 30, so had a young face.
- She was 5ft 2, had brown eyes and brown hair.
- Also according to doctors notes, she was an alcoholic.

- Annie Chapman was born September, 1841
- She was 5ft tall and had blue eyes and brown wavvry hair.
- She was under nourished and suffered from tuberculosis and was possibly dying at the time of her murder.
- She was said to have a drinking problem but wasnt an alcoholic.
- Elizabeth Stride was born 27th November, 1843
- She died at the age of 45.
- She had light gray eyes and curly dark brown hair.

- Catherine Edows was born 14th April 1842
- Was 5ft tall, had hazel eyes and dark auburn hair.
- She also suffered from Bright's disease.

- Mary Jane Kelly was aprox 25 years old when she died.
- Was born in 1863
- 5 ft 7, blonde hair blue eyes.
Looking at all of these facts, i found a few interesting ideas to point out. Firstly, all of the victims apart from Mary Kelly, had aweful teeth- some were missing, others were discoloured but nothing was mentioned about mary Kellys teeth however. Also, Mary Kelly was the youngest to be murdered and the only one to have blonde hair and blue eyes. So why was she so different to the other victims??
Just want to say thanks to all of you guys as i believe that we are all working as a team, haing a laugh as well as taking this presentation serious. In my opinion we are working great together. Keep up the good work xx

I came across the same pictures and facts in a ripperology book, which I found a bit disturbing. But I never thought about how Mary Jane Kelly was different from all of the other victims until you raised this point in your post. After reading it I realized that you asked a very interesting question as to why she was different from the other ripper victims? So I did some research and in one of the sites that i came across claimed that maybe she was not a ripper victim beacuse they are to many differences compared to the other murders the ripper did.The site suggests that she was killed by the man who accompapnied her to her room and apprently he was not jack the ripper!
