I have enjoyed working with a great group of girls, all of which have contributed a great deal to the final presentation.
I am slightly disappointed by the response our presentation received. I know it was early and the room was pretty cold but I still feel that, due to the amount of work put into the presentation, it should have rocked! I am the first to admit that the presentation presented before ours was absolutely fantastic and a very hard act to follow, well done ladies, and this probably detracted from ours.
I also feel that the technology let us down, through no fault of our own as we has arrived in plenty of time to cue up our links ready for the presentation.
Finally I am worried that the errors on the hand in may detract from our final mark and would have liked the opportunity to make a few simple corrections.
Having got the poor aspects off my chest I do feel that there are several positive aspects as well;
the aims raised in our presentation were all addressed and our point was made in an original manor. The use of our props in the fact v myth game kept our audience's attention and ensured their participation in the presentation. The information given was accurate and concise allowing an easy understanding of Ripperology and the facts connected to the Ripper murders.
Finally, how would I improve on the presentation?
Although improvements could be made I don't think I would change the content or presentation method. The planning for the presentation was well researched, equally distributed between group members and on target.
I have the advantage of having taken part in a different module presentation earlier this week. When comparing the two I do feel the Ripper was better prepared, but my Popular Texts was better received.
